Our Amazing Spokane River! - 09/02/2010

Spokane Federal Credit Union is fortunate enough to be located at the entrance to Riverfront Park with an amazing view of the Spokane River.

You may have noticed we have had a lot of activity in our lower parking lot of late.  Avista has been using our parking lot as a staging area for their equipment.  Cranes, sandbags and workers have been very busy putting in place the necessary modifications to the river bed to allow for an aesthetic spills pilot test.  The test will help Avista determine whether permanent channel modifications will bring the river closer to it's natural state.  When Avista has completed their work we will all be able to enjoy the beautiful waterfall and river as it moves through the channels.
