Share Accounts
Savings account, share account - it's pretty much the same thing, with one difference we think you'll like. Share account dividends are usually higher than the interest you'd earn at a bank. Our board of directors determines the rate, and we calculate your monthly dividend based on your average daily balance. We have a couple of options for you to consider: Regular Shares and Share II. Regular Shares
Choose this account and we throw in life savings insurance at no direct cost to you. That means we match your regular savings, up to $2,000, if you should, um, pass away. Have a look at the table below for an overview. Your age at date of deposit OR the date when CUNA Mutual issued coverage, whichever is later
| Amount Insurable Balance Covered | | 0 to 6 months | 25% | | 6 months - 54 years | 100% | | 55 - 59 years | 75% | | 60 - 64 years | 50% | | 65 - 69 years | 25% |
Once you're six months old, you're afforded 100% coverage on your then-insurable balance. You won't have any coverage on the portion of your account balance deposited after your 70th birthday. Share II
Share II is like Regular Shares, except with a higher dividend rate and without the life savings insurance. |
