Like many businesses, Spokane Federal Credit Union is hard at work making spirits bright for families in need this holiday season. We love living and working in a community that cares for its residents and we know that if we all do a little, together, it will add up to a lot.
This year we're helping a family from a local elementary school. When Judi, our Registered Sales Assistant, heard about this family in need, she immediately put her hand in the air to make stockings for each one of them. She's often referred to as "Mini Martha", referring to Martha Stewart, due to her creative crafting skills. We're pretty sure there's nothing she can't make when armed with a glue gun and some scissors. We can't wait to deliver the items later this week. Read below for our fun tribute to Judi's selfless work this Christmas season.
Judi's Christmas Adventure: The Stockings and The Tree
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Judi’s house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
She knew the kiddos had no stockings to hang,
so she sprang into action, and crafted a plan.
She got out her glue gun, scissors and felt,
and started designing three stockings, fit for Martha herself.
Then she lifted a finger up into the air, and said,
“Maybe Auntie and Daddy should also have love and care!”
So five stockings it was, she got busy right away,
and purchased treats for each one, to be opened on Christmas Day.
Then she thought to herself, “A tree is in need”,
for a sack full of stockings didn't quite accomplish the deed.
On the branches she carefully placed ornaments, stars and tinsel,
then topped it all off with a bright star with glitter.
She carefully loaded it into her sleigh and to her team she gave a whistle.
And away they all flew, after she gave the signal.
And off in the distance, some say they heard her say,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.”
