The staff at Spokane Federal Credit Union hopes you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be grateful formainly you! We appreciate your membership and we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you, our members. We like to think of ourselves as a fun bunch of people but when it comes to providing you with exceptional service, we take that very seriously. Its why we periodically send you surveyswe want to hear your feedback. So if theres anything we can do to serve you better, dont be afraid to tell us. Youre our highest priority and why were counting our blessings.
Just in case youve been procrastinating a little in getting your turkey thawed, never fear! We found this helpful advice on Kraft's website.
If you have procrastinated, you can thaw your turkey in cold water. Place the still-wrapped turkey in a container large enough to allow it to be covered with water. Fill the container with cold water and change the water every 30 minutes. This method will thaw a turkey at the rate of about 1 pound every 30 minutes. An 18-pound turkey will take 9 hours. NEVER thaw a turkey out on the counter or in warm water - you could create the perfect environment for bacteria and end up with a family trip to the emergency room instead of a family weekend of fun.
