Stress Relief

March 19, 2015 • Adulting

So let’s face it, there are going to be some days/weeks that are just a big ball of stress. It’s important to keep yourself extra healthy these weeks. This is something I struggle with most. Since I’ve got such a busy semester, I’m setting myself some personal goals that are both realistic and manageable. So here they are:

Get lots of sleep

I am the BIGGEST culprit of not getting enough sleep, but it really is just so important! You’ll feel ten times better if you get at least a full 8 hours of sleep. You’ll retain information better and you’ll be more energized to do your work. So put your books aside and pull up the covers. It’s bed time!

Drink TONS of water

I can’t emphasize how crucial it is to remember to drink water. You’ll feel 10 times better and have sooo much more energy.

Eat regular meals and eat healthy!

It’s hard to find motivation after a long day of school and homework to make yourself a nice healthy meal, but it’s so essential to do this at least a few days a week to make sure you’re getting the nutrients you need.

Exercise regularly

It’ll release endorphins and stress all in one!

Meditate

Pull out your coolest yoga pose (preferably something that you can maintain for a while :P) and do some self reflection to help calm down. It’ll ease your mind and relax your body.

The most important thing is to take it one step at a time. Stressful weeks tend to get the better of us, but if we do all of the above, it makes it at least a tiny bit easier!

Good luck, everyone! I’m rooting for you!

I really like this study playlist. Check it out!
