What does a college education mean to you?

A college education gives me opportunity - the opportunity to show what I can do and achieve. This will be the first time where I am independent to experience the goodness and hardships in life and accomplish my goal of becoming a pediatric oral surgeon to specializing in cleft palate repair.

Upon hearing that you won the scholarship, who did you tell first?

I was at FFA state at WSU when I received the exciting news, so the first people to find out about me winning was my FFA advisor and my FFA chapter members.  I couldn't contain my excitement!  I then immediately contacted my parents!

What is your favorite local charity?

I have two favorite local charities, Camp Fire and the Chase Youth Commission.  I have been a member of Camp Fire since the age of 3 and this is where I found my love for giving back to our community.  I admire the Chase Youth Commission for recognizing youth in Spokane that are doing extraordinary things and I have been fortunate to be a member of this organization for five years.  Without these two organizations, I would not be where I am today.

What is your favorite place to visit?

I have been blessed and able to travel quite a bit in my youth thanks to my parents. My favorite place I have visited is Iceland!  It was such a beautiful country that is rich in unique cultures.

My favorite local charity is the one that my husband and I are orchestrating called Revive Community Services. We are looking to grow and offer additional services such as educational, financial management.

What is your favorite meal?

I absolutely love any meal that has seafood and steak, but my favorite dish is fettuccine alfredo.

I must say that I am both a morning person and a night owl.  I like to exercise and go out shopping early in the mornings and I love to stay awake all night and watch my movies.
