Keeping it Fresh

Roughly 130 lunches made, about 60 to go til summer!  Does anyone else dread making school lunches as much as I do? Thankfully my husband is a ton of help when it comes to this chore, or my kids would be having hot lunch a lot more often. Here is a list of our go-tos:

  • Turkey slices
  • Salami slices
  • Left over pizza
  • Tuna sandwiches
  • Cheese sticks
  • Pickles
  • Fruit
  • Chips
  • Granola bars

These items are easy to pack and eat.  But after 6 months of the same thing, boredom can set in.  Which means one of two things- they either throw most of it away or they bring most of it home. Sad, but true. I was happy I ran across this list of 90 lunchbox ideas on passionforsavings.com- check it out here if you are in a lunch making slump like me.
