SFCU is proud to give back and help make a difference in our local communities. Our employees and members give their time and money to support a number of local charities and non-profits that are working to improve lives in our community. Here are a few examples:
Pinktoberfest: Fighting Breast Cancer
In October, we raised more than $800 for the Eastern Washington affiliate of Susan G. Komen through member and employee donations, pink ribbon sales and a raffle. The donation will support the fight against breast cancer in our local communities.
Movember: Menís Health
SFCU men grew out their beards and mustaches during November to bring awareness to male cancer. We also raffled a gift basket and raised nearly $200 for the Movember Foundation.
SFCU was a sponsor of Spokaneís first-ever Chocoholic Frolic 5K fund run/walk on Nov. 2, 2013. More than 500 participants joined us to raise money for local children in need.
Holidays and Heroes
We were proud to support this event in which local less fortunate children were treated to a day of holiday shopping with local law enforcement, an SFCU-sponsored lunch, gift wrapping, and a visit from Santa.
SFCU again served as a donation center for 92.9 ZZUís annual program to provide needy community families with goods and services for Christmas.
Air Force Family Support Program
SFCU helped to honor local Air Force service members and families as a sponsor of the West Plains Minutemen Top 3 Associationís annual Christmas party and silent auction at Fairchild Air Force Base.
