Not a day goes by that I am not thankful for my kids’ teachers. They are there to not only teach them but they are there for them, protect them and love them when they are away from home. As a mom, it gives me great comfort knowing they are in the best care possible every school day. National Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 2nd-6th and you better bet I am excited for it! Have you started thinking of what you can do to thank the teachers in your life? I took it upon myself to do a little survey amongst some teacher friends what they LOVE receiving from students and I also asked them what they prefer not to get (not because they don’t appreciate everything, but they can only use so many coffee mugs).
My teacher friends love receiving:
- Coffee gift cards
- Target gift cards (Really gift cards to anywhere you think they might like! One of Ty’s teachers likes to hunt so Cabela’s is a favorite of his!)
- Flowers picked out by kiddo
- Handmade gifts that your kids poured their heart into
- Teachers Pay Teachers credit
- New books for classroom
They have a few too many:
- Boxes of chocolate
- Stuffed animals
- Coffee mugs
